Alexis Garcin is responsible for coordinating all activities of Michelin in North America, which encompasses more than $9.1 billion in sales and some 23,000 employees across Canada and the U.S. Michelin, the leading mobility company, is working with tires, around tires, and beyond tires to enable Motion for Life. Dedicated to sustainable mobility, Michelin designs the most suitable tires for its customers’ needs, provides digital services and guides to enrich travels, and invests in high-technology materials to serve a wide variety of industries. Mr. Garcin joined Michelin in 2002 as sales director of the car dealer channel in France. He then worked in the passenger car division, where he held sales director positions for the European markets, prior to being named managing director of Euromaster, a retail network of the Michelin Group. From 2011 to 2017, he served as Michelin’s worldwide strategic marketing director for the truck and bus division, then led the global long-distance transportation business line. Before joining Michelin, Mr. Garcin held several positions for Bosch Group, including sales director of the Western Europe power tool division. As a leader, Mr. Garcin is guided by purpose, humility, and authenticity. He prioritizes people and pushes for progress by challenging the status quo and meeting regularly with people—employees, customers, industry professionals, and the community—who he finds to be a great source of inspiration.
