Jon Chapman, as CEO of PlayVS, is focused on scaling the company while expanding its offerings so that students everywhere can experience the competition, community, and inclusivity of esports. Prior to joining PlayVS, he served as president and co-founder of EVERFI, having led the company from a startup to a thriving global organization, with more than 500 employees serving some of the world’s top corporations and organizations. During his tenure, he was instrumental in each phase of EVERFI’s growth, including co-leading four funding rounds, totaling $251 million, and the acquisition of three organizations. He also led the company’s expansion into the U.K. through the acquisition of EdComs in 2019. While serving as the president of EVERFI’s Enterprise and International divisions, Mr. Chapman ran a multifaceted team that led partnerships with hundreds of the biggest global brands. EVERFI was acquired for $750 million in December 2021 by Blackbaud, the world’s leading cloud software company powering social good.
