Surendra Patawari is the founder and chairman of Gemini Corp. NV, a global circular economy platform giving second life to 2 million tons of plastics, paper, metals, textiles, and rubber annually. Mr. Patawari is a part of the Sustainable Markets Initiative, initiated by His Majesty King Charles III. He is also a board member of the Alliance to End Plastic Waste and on the advisory board of the World Economic Forum. A sought-after keynote speaker at global platforms, Mr. Patawari was listed among the world’s top 30 recyclers in 2022. Among the numerous awards and accolades received since 1989, Gemini was featured in Fortune’s Change the World list and nominated for the Transformational Business award by the Financial Times. To fulfill his passion for “sharing,” he has adopted and takes care of the medical needs of 12 Indian villages, has built and operates two schools for 400 students, and supports the plantation and maintenance of more than 100,000 trees in a green forest in the desert in India. Mr. Patawari was one of the first supporters of the UN-adopted Global Plastic Treaty to end plastic pollution and participates actively in policymaking at European and global levels.
